About this opportunity

The University of Regina Retirees Legacy Scholarship was established at the University of Regina by retired employees of the University of Regina to provide assistance to students excelling in their chosen area of study. This scholarship is specifically designed for former undergraduate recipients of the University of Regina Retirees Legacy Scholarship who are entering their first year of graduate studies at the Masters or Doctoral level. The scholarship supports full-time graduate students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship in their chosen field of study and have maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 80%. Up to three scholarships are awarded annually at $8,000 each, with the total amount distributed as $4,000 in each of two semesters. The scholarship is a nominated award, requiring a faculty member to nominate a student on behalf of the applicant. Faculty members may recommend only one student per year, and nomination packages must be submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research by February 15th.

Review process

Nomination is made by a faculty member on behalf of a student. Faculty members download the nomination package from URAAPA and submit to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research.
