University of Sydney Honours Scholarship

The University of Sydney Honours Scholarship is a $6,000 scholarship designed to support both domestic and international students who are applying for or currently undertaking an honours program at the University of Sydney. This scholarship is available to students enrolled in appended Honours programs and provides financial support to help with their studies. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, and a personal statement demonstrating academic achievements, leadership experience, communication skills, and interest in studying in the proposed Honours degree. The award is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester for students commencing in either Semester 1 or Semester 2. International students must have completed their undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney to be eligible. The scholarship supports students throughout their one-year honours program, provided they maintain satisfactory academic performance and remain enrolled in their eligible course. Recipients may hold the scholarship on a part-time basis under extenuating circumstances with prior approval.
