University of Waikato High Performance Athlete Scholarship

The University of Waikato High Performance Athlete Scholarship provides financial support to domestic students who are competing in high performance sport at a regional or national level. The scholarship is designed to help student-athletes balance their academic pursuits with their sporting commitments while pursuing an undergraduate degree. This scholarship recognizes the dedication and achievement of athletes who are excelling in their chosen sports while maintaining their educational goals. Previous recipients may reapply if they met all ongoing eligibility maintenance requirements during their previous scholarship tenure. The scholarship supports students across all subject areas offered at the University of Waikato, including Arts, Business & Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Education, Health, Engineering, Law, Māori & Indigenous Studies, Science, and Social Sciences.
