University of Waikato International Entrance Scholarship for School Leavers

The University of Waikato International Entrance Scholarship for School Leavers provides financial support of up to NZD$15,000 towards tuition fees for international students. This scholarship is designed for international students completing Year 13 (or equivalent) at a New Zealand high school or learning institution in 2025 who intend to enrol full-time in an undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato in A Trimester 2026. Students must have completed study at NCEA Level 2 and/or 3, or equivalent qualifications. The scholarship is available across all subject areas including Arts, Business & Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Education, Health, Engineering, Law, Māori & Indigenous Studies, Science, and Social Sciences. Notably, there is no application required for this scholarship. Eligible students are automatically nominated upon submitting their application to study at the University of Waikato.
