University of Waikato Summer Research Scholarship

The University of Waikato Summer Research Scholarship is a 10-week program designed to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with hands-on research experience. The scholarship enables students to explore the rewarding world of research while being supported by an academic supervisor in the creation of new knowledge. This opportunity is available across all subject areas at the University of Waikato, including Arts, Business & Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Education, Health, Engineering, Law, Māori & Indigenous Studies, Science, Social Sciences, Psychology, Environment, and Design. The program is intended for students who have not yet undertaken postgraduate research (i.e., a thesis) and are currently enrolled at a New Zealand university or other tertiary provider. Recipients will engage with real-world research challenges and gain valuable experience that can inform future academic and career pathways.
