University of Waterloo Alumni@Microsoft Entrance Scholarship in Mathematics

This entrance scholarship program awards several scholarships annually to outstanding students entering first year of a program in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. The scholarship is valued at $2,000 per award and is made possible through donations from University of Waterloo alumni employed with Microsoft Corporation. Selection is based on academic performance, the Admission Information Form (AIF), and contest results as administered through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC). The scholarship supports students pursuing various mathematics programs including Computer Science, Honours Mathematics, Mathematics/Business Administration, Mathematics/Financial Analysis and Risk Management, and double degree programs. No separate application is required as all eligible entering students are automatically considered based on their admission materials and academic achievements.
