University of Waterloo Alumni@Nortel Scholarship

A scholarship, valued at up to $4,000, is awarded annually to an outstanding student entering first year of a program in the Faculty of Engineering or the Faculty of Mathematics. This fund was established by University of Waterloo alumni employed at Nortel. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and is awarded to students demonstrating outstanding performance upon entry to the university. Selection is based on academic performance, the Admission Information Form (AIF), contest results administered through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (for Mathematics students), and an online video interview (for Engineering students). No separate application is required as students are automatically considered based on their admission application.
