University of Waterloo/FIRST Mechatronics Engineering Scholarship

In partnership with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and the Departments of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering, the University of Waterloo awards one $5,000 non-renewable entrance scholarship annually. The scholarship is designed to recognize and reward students whose experience with FIRST has inspired an interest in pursuing an engineering education. This entrance award is presented to an outstanding student entering first year of the Mechatronics Engineering program at the University of Waterloo who was active on a FIRST team in the final year of high school. Selection is based on academic excellence and extracurricular achievement as assessed through the Admission Information Form and an online video interview. Applicants are encouraged to emphasize their participation on a FIRST team in their AIF submission.
