Unlocking Potential Fund

Museums Galleries Scotland Original Source

About This Opportunity

As part of the Museum Futures Programme, the Unlocking Potential Fund supports museums to address issues that are preventing them from building their financial sustainability. With grants of up to £100,000, this fund can help prepare the way for strategic development of museums by addressing issues that are currently preventing them from moving forward. Examples of such issues could be: outdated or inefficient systems; a website that does not allow effective visitor attraction or fundraising; or a lack of expertise or skills deficit preventing the development of appropriate strategies for specific areas of work. The most important consideration is what potential will be unlocked as a direct result of having addressed the issue, and how being able to do those things will put the museum in a stronger financial position. All applicants are required to complete an Organisational Health Checker in advance of applying for this fund.
