UPEI Deans' of Nursing Scholarship

The UPEI Deans' of Nursing Scholarship is granted to a second year student in the Master of Nursing program who has shown leadership within their class throughout their time in the program. Under the direction of Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Gulrose Jiwani, the Deans' of Nursing Scholarship Fund was established to support nursing students through funds raised at a bi-annual gala hosted by the Faculty of Nursing and through additional gifts from colleagues and friends. The intention of the fund is to celebrate the faculty's growth and accomplishments beginning with a single program with 16 students to a full-fledged faculty that offers multiple undergraduate and graduate level programs. The University introduced nursing education at the baccalaureate level in 1992 and is now the proud alma mater of hundreds of nursing alumni.
