About this opportunity

The UPEI School of Nursing Endowment Award is presented to the Nursing student standing second-highest in academic achievement in second year, and who is taking at least 24 semester-hour credits in Fall/Winter courses. This scholarship was established at the University of Prince Edward Island by the former Board of Directors of the Prince Edward Island School of Nursing in conjunction with the Prince County Hospital Board of Directors, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Board of Directors and the University of Prince Edward Island. The purpose of this trust is to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to former graduates of the Prince Edward Island School of Nursing or its predecessor schools of nursing who are enrolled in a baccalaureate program towards a degree in nursing. Applicants must show a demonstrated need for financial assistance in order to complete the degree program. In the event that in any given year there are no applicants to fulfill these purposes, the funds may be used to provide financial assistance to faculty/instructors within the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Prince Edward Island to further their educational qualifications.
