About This Opportunity

The UPEI Tersteeg Music Scholarship is awarded to a full-time student in the third year of the Bachelor of Music Program at the University of Prince Edward Island. The scholarship recognizes academic achievement, performance standards achieved in the second semester of the student's second year, and extracurricular activities within the University and the community at large. Preference is given to students whose major applied area is an orchestral/band instrument or other area at the discretion of the Music Department. This scholarship was established in 1992, upon the retirement of Professor Hubert (Bert) Tersteeg from the faculty of the Department of Music at the University of Prince Edward Island. Through donations to this scholarship, colleagues, students, and friends expressed their appreciation of Professor Tersteeg's many years of dedicated service to St. Dunstan's University and to the University of Prince Edward Island.
