About This Opportunity

The UQ Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships (UQ-ICS) is part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance with education or relocation/accommodation costs to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students at the University of Queensland. The program consists of two components: the Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship (UQ-ICECS) providing $1,500 per semester, and the Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship (UQ-ICAS) providing $2,500 per semester. These scholarships are available for up to 2 semesters to eligible domestic students enrolled in any undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. Applicants must be Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are Australian citizens. The scholarships prioritize students from regional or remote areas and those experiencing financial disadvantage.
