About this opportunity
The UQ Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship is a prestigious academic scholarship that recognizes and supports exceptional high-achieving students commencing undergraduate study at The University of Queensland. Established in 2009 and maintained by funds from The University of Queensland and donors, this scholarship forms part of the UQ Academic Scholarship Program.
The scholarship provides substantial financial support of $12,000 per year for up to 5 years to students who achieve a minimum unadjusted ATAR of 99.90 or equivalent. It is designed to attract and reward outstanding academic talent across all study areas at the undergraduate level.
Eligible students must have completed Year 12 in 2025 or 2024 (gap year), have not completed previous tertiary study (except as part of Years 11-12), and must have UQ listed as their first QTAC preference. The scholarship supports full-time undergraduate study commencing in 2026 (or 2027 if deferring).
Applicants must demonstrate outstanding achievements in leadership and community service during Years 11 and 12 as part of their application. Only one application is required to be considered for all scholarships under the UQ Academic Scholarships Program.
