USSC Student Internship Scholarship

The USSC Student Internship Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney who wish to undertake an internship that complements their studies. The scholarship is funded by the United States Studies Centre (USSC) and is designed to support students enrolled in specific internship units. Eligible students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and must remain enrolled full-time in either USSC3703: US Studies Internship or USSC6205: Internship Project during the calendar year of commencement. The scholarship provides up to $1,500 in financial support paid as a one-off payment. Selection is based on academic merit and a personal statement demonstrating commitment and suitability to the USSC student internship program. The scholarship is awarded by a selection committee comprised of the Academic Director and Chair of American Studies and at least one other academic in American Studies. Applications must be submitted via the United States Studies Centre website, generally opening two months before the start of each semester. The scholarship aims to reduce financial barriers for students pursuing valuable internship experiences that enhance their academic studies and professional development in American Studies and related fields.
