About this opportunity
The USSC Undergraduate Indigenous Scholarship provides financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students undertaking American Studies at the University of Sydney. This scholarship was established to support Indigenous students who have completed one or more AMST or USSC units of study, including OLET2151, OLET2120, and OLET2107.
The scholarship is valued at $2,500 per annum and is tenable for up to one year for full-time students, or 50% per annum for up to 2 years for part-time students (with prior approval). Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 50 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
This scholarship is funded by the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. The selection is based on academic merit, a personal statement demonstrating leadership experience and potential, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and personal qualities. The scholarship provides direct financial support to help Indigenous students pursue their studies in American Studies.
