About this opportunity
The Utah Transfer Merit Scholarship for Non-Resident students is a merit-based scholarship offered by the University of Utah for transfer students with high cumulative GPAs who have completed a two-year college program or its equivalent. The scholarship provides $10,000 per year ($5,000 per semester for fall and spring semesters) to help cover tuition and mandatory fees for students enrolled full-time. This scholarship is renewable for up to four semesters (fall and spring), or until the student receives a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first, as long as renewal requirements are met. Students must complete their admissions process by February 1st and have an Associate's Degree or equivalency in hours (45-60 transferrable credits) at the time of application. To maintain the scholarship, students must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and complete at least 24 credit hours during the two semesters of the academic year while remaining enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credit hours) each semester.
