About this opportunity
The Education Grant for Economically Disadvantaged is a financial support program for economically disadvantaged youth and adults pursuing education in Oslo. The grant is administered by Oslo Municipality through the Economy and Administration Agency. The program provides financial assistance to students attending secondary school, folk high schools, technical programs at Oslo Vocational School, engineering studies at OsloMet, or apprentices with training contracts. The grant amount varies based on study hours per week: up to 13,000 NOK for 24 or more study hours per week, and up to 6,000 NOK for 17-23 study hours per week. Applicants must have been registered residents in Oslo for the last three years. The grants are prioritized based on an economic profile created for each applicant using household income, wealth, and consumption standards. Only one grant per household per calendar year is allowed from the collection of grants administered by the Collection Agency, though students under 18 may receive this education grant even if another household member received a different grant.
