Utveckla forskning- och innovationskapaciteten i Östra Mellansverige

This funding opportunity aims to develop research and innovation capacity to address the common challenges of Eastern Central Sweden (Östra Mellansverige): Smart Industry, Tomorrow's Energy Solutions, Sustainable Food Supply, and Life Science, Welfare and e-Health. The program supports two main directions: (1) developing and strengthening innovation clusters and business networks to increase collaboration between industry, academia, public sector and civil society (indicative budget 8 million SEK), and (2) strengthening conditions for startups and scaleups to grow through direct interventions and structure development (indicative budget 12 million SEK). Projects can be feasibility studies or full projects focusing on capacity building, behavioral change, direct business support, development of support structures, or building environments and infrastructure. The funding is provided through the European Regional Development Fund and supports actors in the business support system as well as regions, municipalities, civil society and higher education institutions.
