About this opportunity

This development grant aims to promote advancement in traditional crafts within building and vessel preservation in Agder by increasing competence in antiquarian restoration and preservation of intangible cultural heritage through documentation and practice of traditional craft techniques. The grant is designed to create pride and awareness about the central role traditional craftspeople have in preserving cultural heritage and passing on intangible cultural heritage to future generations. It supports professional craftspeople in traditional craft fields within building and vessel preservation who live and work in Agder. The grant provides professional craftspeople with opportunities for development through competence-building measures, including documentation of older craft techniques, coverage of expenses related to testing techniques, courses and training, including compensation for lost work income. Priority is given to traditional craftspeople who will use the grant in connection with concrete restoration projects on protected or listed cultural monuments.
