About This Opportunity

Uversity's Scholarships are for adult learners who wish to complete a Bachelor's (Ordinary or Higher) Degree, for the first time, that will help transform their lives and the lives of those around them. Scholarships enable successful candidates to pursue a degree, in any discipline, in selected institutions on the island of Ireland. Preference is given to candidates enrolling on full-time programmes, though part-time or blended programmes will also be considered. The Scholarships comprise financial support and programming throughout the course of the degree. Financial support is provided at two levels: €5,000 per annum for candidates without dependent children, and €7,000 per annum for candidates with dependent children. The scholarship is payable per annum for the duration of the Scholar's chosen degree, up to a maximum of 4 years. Payments are made directly to the scholar through monthly instalments. Along with financial support, Uversity's Scholarships include access to six online workshops each academic year in the areas of academia and career development. Topics covered include presentation skills, practical tools for being a successful 3rd level student, LinkedIn, CV building, and interview skills. Each online programming workshop is presented by experts in their fields. Scholarships are awarded based on online written application, successful interview, and demonstrated financial need. Uversity has secured Income Disregard status from the Department of Social Protection and the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, allowing successful candidates in receipt of means-tested social welfare benefits to receive the scholarship without impacting these supports.
