About This Opportunity

The UW Retirees' Graduate Scholarship is presented annually to outstanding graduate students on a rotating basis through the faculties at the University of Waterloo. This scholarship recognizes exceptional academic achievement and is made possible by the generous support of University of Waterloo retirees. Recipients must hold either an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or a Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science & Technology (QEII-GSST) at the time of selection. The scholarship is open to both master's and doctoral students across all graduate programs at the university. Students are automatically selected by their faculty or department, and the final selection is made by the Assistant Vice-President, Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs. The award varies up to a maximum of $5,000 for one full award, which is paid over three academic terms beginning in the fall term.
