About this opportunity
The UW Staff Association Graduate Award provides several awards annually valued at $500-$1,000 to full- or part-time graduate students at the University of Waterloo who are affiliated with the UW Staff Association (UWSA). Recipients must be either current UWSA members or the child, spouse, grandchild, or dependent of a current UWSA member. Award selection is based on academic merit combined with demonstrated contributions to the university or community through extracurricular or volunteer activities. The award amount varies based on the recipient's tuition benefit eligibility: $1,000 for those who receive 50% or less tuition benefit (or no benefit), and $500 for those who receive 100% tuition benefit. The award is open to both Canadian and international graduate students enrolled in any program at the masters or doctoral level. This award is supported by the University of Waterloo Staff Association and aims to recognize academic achievement while supporting students with staff affiliation connections.
