UWM Charter Schools Staff Scholarship

This scholarship sponsored by the UWM Office of Charter Schools is open to any individual currently employed full-time at a UWM-authorized charter school who is seeking a degree or certification/license within a department in the School of Education at UW-Milwaukee. A scholarship recipient will receive a maximum of $20,000 with no more than $5,000 being disbursed per school year ($2,500 per semester for fall and spring semesters). Undergraduate and graduate recipients are expected to enroll in 6 credits each semester, with a minimum of 3 credits required. The scholarship covers a maximum of $20,000 or 8 consecutive semesters (fall and spring), whichever is met first. Individuals applying for admission to graduate programs should apply no fewer than four weeks before the scholarship deadline to ensure graduate admissions processing is completed. Renewal requirements include maintaining full-time employment at a UW-Milwaukee-authorized charter school, receiving a final grade of at least 'C' in each course, and submitting an unofficial transcript via email to the Director of the Office of Charter Schools at the end of each academic year along with a continued letter of support from the school leader.
