The Val O'Donoghue Scholarship honours the legacy of Val O'Donoghue, a respected electronics engineer, entrepreneur, and technical author with a longstanding connection to Imperial College. Established through the generous support of his widow, Mrs. Maria O'Donoghue, this scholarship supports outstanding students pursuing studies in electronics, empowering them to continue Val's commitment to innovation and excellence in engineering. The award covers full home fees and provides an annual stipend for 4 years equal to the UKRI rate for London. This scholarship is specifically for students undertaking research in the areas of Optical and Semi-Conductor devices within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London.
