The Val O'Donoghue Scholarship honours the legacy of Val O'Donoghue, a respected electronics engineer, entrepreneur, and technical author with a longstanding connection to Imperial College. Established through the generous support of his widow, Mrs. Maria O'Donoghue, this scholarship supports outstanding students pursuing studies in electronics, empowering them to continue Val's commitment to innovation and excellence in engineering. The award covers full home fees and provides an annual stipend for 4 years equal to the UKRI rate for London. This scholarship is available for PhD students undertaking research in the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Imperial College London. Candidates must have been assessed Home or of Irish Nationality fee status and apply to undertake research in eligible departments within the Faculty of Natural Sciences, including Centre for Environmental Policy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics.
