About this opportunity
The Valedictorian Scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen who are named Valedictorian by their high school at Mississippi State University. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence and leadership demonstrated by students who have achieved the highest academic standing in their graduating class. The award provides $2,000 for the first year of undergraduate study, disbursed equally over two semesters. Students must be Mississippi residents graduating from a Mississippi high school to be eligible for this award. Recipients must maintain a minimum 9th-11th grade GPA of 3.0 or higher and complete both the General Scholarship Application and the Valedictorian Scholarship Application through the scholarship portal, including verification from their high school counselor.
