Vassmiljøtiltak

Vassmiljøtiltak is a grant program from Møre og Romsdal County Municipality that supports measures to improve the environmental condition in streams, rivers, lakes, and coastal areas. The program aims to help achieve objectives outlined in the Regional Water Management Plan for Møre og Romsdal water region. Eligible applicants include municipalities, organizations, landowner associations, river owner associations, and water area committees. The program prioritizes water bodies and measures specified in the action program of the Regional Water Management Plan. Funding is available for planning and implementing measures that improve environmental conditions in water bodies, as well as for monitoring and mapping environmental conditions and the effects of measures. The grant covers up to 50% of total costs for extraordinary development expenses, not for ordinary operations or maintenance. The program follows the polluter pays principle and does not provide grants for measures that fall under other sectoral responsibilities.
