Vera Allen Travel Award for Medical Sciences

One or more travel grants awarded to graduate students in the School of Medical Sciences who will be presenting their thesis work as a first author on the scientific abstract at a national or international scientific conference. The award supports travel to conferences outside of British Columbia. Preference is given to PhD students, with Master's students eligible if no PhD students qualify. Students must apply through the School of Medical Sciences with an annual deadline of September 1st. Approval of recipients is made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon recommendation of the Head of the School of Medical Sciences in consultation with the School's nomination committee.
