Vermont Language Teacher Scholarship

The Vermont Language Teacher Scholarship is offered by Middlebury Language Schools to share its language resources with teachers and students. Recipients receive funding to cover the comprehensive fee including tuition, on-campus housing, and food for one summer of study in any language offered by the program. Two scholarships are awarded annually: one for a current language teacher employed in a Vermont secondary school who wants to further study the language they currently teach or undertake teaching a second foreign language, and one for a Middlebury College undergraduate student enrolled in the Education Studies program who is in the process of becoming certified to teach a foreign language. The scholarship is competitive and selection is based on demonstrated commitment to language teaching and evidence of academic ability and language competence. The scholarship is for one summer only, and recipients may not re-apply for this specific program, though they may return for additional summers at their own expense or apply for other financial aid.
