Veteran, Service-Member, Dependent, Spouse, Non-Resident Tuition Waiver

This tuition waiver program is designed specifically for veterans, active service-members, and their dependents and spouses who wish to attend Mississippi State University. The waiver covers 100% of the non-resident portion of tuition for eligible individuals connected to any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. To qualify, veterans must have received an 'Honorable Discharge' from their service; a 'General Discharge Under Honorable Conditions' does not meet the eligibility requirements. This benefit helps make Mississippi State University more accessible and affordable for military-connected students by eliminating the additional cost burden of out-of-state tuition. The waiver is available across all MSU campuses including Starkville, Meridian, and Gulf Coast, and applies to both new freshmen and transfer students from community colleges or four-year institutions. It should be noted that this waiver cannot be combined with the Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship, ensuring that students select the most beneficial option for their circumstances.
