About This Opportunity

The Vice-Chancellor's Honours Scholarship is designed to encourage and support students commencing an Honours program at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), with a long-term view to enter the research field. This scholarship is available to students enrolled in 'end-on' Honours programs (not embedded or professional Honours programs) who are Commonwealth supported students. The scholarship provides financial support of A$5,000 per annum for up to one year of full-time study, with pro rata payments available for part-time students. Selection is based on academic merit (GPA for advanced level courses), research focus and alignment with UniSC research concentrations, and demonstrated intention for ongoing research study leading to a Higher Degree by Research (HDR). The scholarship is not available to students already receiving other UniSC merit scholarships or Indigenous scholarships for Honours study. Ten scholarships are offered each year, with applications for Study Period 1, 2026 closing on 27 February 2026 and outcomes notified by 20 March 2026.
