Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships Scheme

The Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships Scheme (VCIS) is a prestigious scholarship offered to exceptional international students commencing coursework studies at the University of Sydney. The scholarship recognizes academic merit and provides financial support to high-achieving students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees. Five different scholarship amounts are offered ranging from $5,000 to $60,000, with amounts determined based on the applicant's ranking against selection criteria. The scholarship is awarded only once during the first year of commencement and is not renewable for following years. No application is required as all eligible students who have secured an unconditional offer of admission by specified dates are automatically considered.
