About this opportunity
The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship Exam is a competitive examination opportunity for international undergraduate students applying to Aberystwyth University. Students sit two exam papers in subjects of their choice, and based on their performance, receive either a Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship or Vice-Chancellor's Merit Award. The top 20% of international students who pass the exams receive a tuition-fee discount of £2,000 per year for every year of their undergraduate studies (maximum of £6,000 over three years). The remaining 80% of students who pass receive a tuition-fee discount of £2,000 in their first year only. Successful completion of the exams may also result in an unconditional offer to study at Aberystwyth University. The exams are set and marked by academic departments and are comparable to A-level standard. Students must be ordinarily domiciled in one of over 40 eligible countries and territories including the United States, Canada, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, various European nations, and Gulf states. Applicants must be applying for entry into the first year of an undergraduate bachelor's degree programme and be at least 17 years old by October 1st of their entry year.
