About this opportunity
Durham University offers Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships for Sport, Music and the Arts to support students who excel in these fields. The scholarship provides £2,000 per academic year to undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional talent in sport, music, or the arts, such as participation in sporting or musical events at a national or international level. The scholarship is designed to support Durham's commitment to combining academic excellence with opportunities for personal development through extra-curricular activities. Durham has been a top 3 BUCS table University since 2012, invested £47 million in sporting facilities, offers over 30 University music societies, and produces around 90 theatre productions each year. Applications are particularly welcome from International candidates, Ethnic Minority groups, and candidates from neighbourhoods with low overall progression to higher education or high levels of socio-economic deprivation. Successful applicants will be required to play an active part in Durham University's sporting, musical and performing communities throughout their studies.
