Vilttiltak

The Vilttiltak grant program aims to support the implementation of wildlife management tasks at local, regional, intermunicipal, or national levels in Nordland county. The program prioritizes projects that contribute to competence development among hunters and rights holders. Eligible activities include courses and seminars for hunters and landowners, introduction courses for youth and new hunters, population planning work, mapping of wildlife habitats and interests, wildlife census activities such as moose counts, grazing condition surveys, facilitation of hunting opportunities, establishment of local cooperation councils, integration of wildlife interests in municipal plans, and research projects. The program supports capacity building and practical wildlife management initiatives across the region. Applications are evaluated based on their contribution to improved wildlife management practices and knowledge development. The grant can cover up to 75 percent of approved costs, making it accessible for municipalities, organizations, associations, and individuals working on wildlife conservation and management projects.
