Vincent P. & Pamela R. Gutowski Scholarship

The Vincent P. & Pamela R. Gutowski Scholarship supports outstanding Geography majors at Eastern Illinois University who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and dedication to the field. The award is given to Junior and/or Senior students who have been in residence for at least two semesters, including the semester of the award, and maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Preference is given to students who have shown competence in field work, excellence in research in physical geography, and intend to pursue graduate studies. Additional preference is given to those students who have exhibited persistent participation and leadership in Rho Chapter of GTU (Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international geography honor society). Recipients are eligible to receive the award again provided they continue to meet the criteria. This award is announced and disbursed in the Spring semester.
