About This Opportunity
Each year the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences may offer a travel grant known as the Vis and Anjeli Nathan Travel Grants (Anthropology). Funding for this award has been provided by the Vis and Anjeli Nathan Scholarship, which was established in 2001 by the parents of Anjeli Nathan to honour her memory following her death in a car accident the previous year while conducting fieldwork in South Africa. Anjeli Nathan was a university medallist in Zoology in 1998 after completing an honours degree at the School of Botany and Zoology in the ANU College of Science. The award is available each year to an ANU student who has demonstrated a high capacity for achievement in the field of Anthropology and is enrolled in an undergraduate program offered by the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences in the field of Anthropology. The grant provides a once-off payment for travel related to fieldwork in anthropology.
