About this opportunity
Every two years the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences may offer a travel grant known as the Vis and Anjeli Nathan Travel Grant (Philosophy). The objective of the award is to provide support to facilitate travel or fieldwork to a student who is enrolled in an undergraduate Philosophy program. The travel would need to take place in Semester 2 of the year of enrolment. The scholarship was established in 2001 by the parents of Anjeli Nathan to honour her memory following her death in a car accident the previous year while conducting fieldwork in South Africa. Anjeli Nathan was a university medallist in Zoology in 1998 after completing an honours degree at the School of Botany and Zoology in the ANU College of Science. The School of Philosophy has available this travel grant up to the value of $2,800 to support undergraduate students to attend overseas conferences as part of their degree.
