About this opportunity
The Viscount Bennett Entrance Scholarship is offered annually to undergraduate students entering their first year in any faculty at the University of Calgary. The scholarship was established from a trust created by the late Right Honourable Viscount Bennett, P.C., K.C., LL.D., D.C.L., of Calgary and Mickelham. Awards are granted on the basis of academic merit and good character, demonstrating satisfactory personal qualities. To be eligible, applicants must have resided for at least five consecutive years in Calgary, or within 32 kilometers of that city, or in Banff National Park. The scholarship provides $1,000 in funding and a variable number of awards are available each year.
