About this opportunity
The Visionary Scholarship is a cash award worth £5,750 for students who have overcome adversity and engaged with the University of Greenwich during their school or college studies at one of the university's target schools or colleges. Thanks to a University of Greenwich alumni donation, two scholarships are available to support students who embody the university's values of inclusivity, excellence, determination and ambition. The scholarship recognizes that financial barriers can limit student potential and aims to support students making the transition to higher education.
The award is paid in three instalments during the student's first year of undergraduate study at the University of Greenwich. Students must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course starting in September 2026 at the Greenwich, Avery Hill or Medway Campus (excluding the Medway School of Pharmacy). The university works closely with targeted schools and colleges to support academic attainment and progression to higher education.
Eligible students must have received an offer to study through UCAS using their school or college centre name, and must have visited the university or engaged in preparatory progression activities offered by the University of Greenwich. Applications are submitted through a nomination form and reviewed by a committee, with awards made on merit. Decisions are typically made by the end of June for courses starting in September.
