Västsvenska Kulturfonden Kompetensutvecklingsstipendium

Västsvenska Kulturfonden provides professional development scholarships for individuals or groups seeking competency development within the fine arts that are part of an active cultural life. The scholarships support literature, visual arts, performing arts, music, and other art forms such as photography, design, textile art, archiving, web art, and metalwork. The fund was established in 1992 by Västsvenska Handelskammaren (West Swedish Chamber of Commerce) in collaboration with the region and municipalities to stimulate culture in the West Swedish region through skills development. Since its inception, the fund has distributed over 4.8 million Swedish kronor to cultural actors seeking further development. The scholarships are awarded annually each fall and aim to support the continued development of young cultural life in the region.
