W. Gordon Fields Memorial Fellowship

The W. Gordon Fields Memorial Fellowship is awarded to graduate students in Marine Biology at the University of Victoria who already hold a tri-agency award (CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC) and who have demonstrated an aptitude for teaching. This fellowship recognizes academic excellence and teaching ability in marine biology graduate students. If there are no eligible students who hold a tri-agency award, then one or more scholarships of at least $1,000 are awarded instead. The award amount varies and is assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units. No application is required as recipients are nominated by their departments. Recipients must maintain a minimum A- average and be enrolled as full-time graduate students to be eligible for this recognition.
