Wadköpingsstipendiet

Wadköpingsstipendiet is a Swedish arts and crafts scholarship totaling 50,000 SEK, awarded annually by Örebro municipality. The grant is divided between two categories: one for established craftspeople who demonstrate excellent skills and have developed their own artistic expression, and another for promising emerging craftspeople at the beginning of their career who need support to invest in their continued development. Applicants must have a close connection to Örebro municipality through their residence and/or activities. The scholarship is awarded in collaboration with Konstfrämjandet Bergslagen and Konsthantverkarna Örebro. Eligible craft forms include ceramics, forging, glassblowing, and traditional crafts, while art forms such as painting, drawing, photography, and video are typically not included within the concept of arts and crafts.
