About this opportunity
Established in 2011 as part of Lakeland College's Centennial Campaign, the Wainwright on Wellness Wainwright High School Entrance Award was created to honor the Wainwright On Wellness project, which addresses mental health, and the social and educational needs of school age students. The award is designed to support students graduating from high schools in the Buffalo Trails School Division who are entering full-time studies in programs leading to careers in helping professions. Recipients must demonstrate good academic standing throughout high school and active involvement in their school and community. This entrance award recognizes students who embody the values of community service and commitment to helping others, particularly in fields related to mental health and social wellbeing. The scholarship is awarded annually to students beginning their post-secondary education at Lakeland College within 20 months of high school graduation.
