About this opportunity
The Wajibu Wetu Programme is a multi-year initiative by ForumCiv that supports social transformation in Kenya through civil society organizations. Now in its third phase, the programme builds on six years of experience supporting non-traditional civil society organizations, including media, creative, and gender-focused organizations using artivism (art for activism) approaches. The programme focuses on five result areas: strengthening inclusive governance and democracy, enhancing community empowerment and resilience, contributing to gender equality, networking and movement building, and enhancing capacities of CSOs. The programme aims to deepen democracy, strengthen inclusive citizen participation and accountability, and bring gender-mainstreaming to the forefront of the governance agenda in Kenya through creative and innovative approaches such as music, traditional and new media, cultural festivals, documentaries, and investigative journalism. The application window is currently closed, with future openings to be communicated on the website.
