Walker Newby and Associates Ltd. Prize in Survey Engineering

The Walker Newby and Associates Ltd. Prize in Survey Engineering is an annual award presented to a student in Survey Engineering at the University of Alberta. The recipient is selected based on academic standing in CIV E 250 (Plane Surveying) combined with a strong overall academic record. This endowed prize was established by GC Walker (Civil '50) and LR Newby (Civil '51) of Walker, Newby and Associates Ltd to commemorate their Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of practice in Alberta. The fund was supplemented by matching investment income from the Province of Alberta Advanced Education Endowment Fund of the 1980s.
