Walker Newby and Associates Ltd. Prizes in Environmental Engineering

The Walker Newby and Associates Ltd. Prizes in Environmental Engineering are awarded to students in Civil Engineering at the University of Alberta who have successfully completed Municipal Systems or Facility Design. The selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated interest in design problems related to municipal engineering, urban planning, design and construction. This endowed prize was established by GC Walker (Civil '50) and LR Newby (Civil '51) of Walker, Newby and Associates Ltd. in commemoration of their Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of practice in Alberta, and was supplemented by matching investment income by the Province of Alberta Advanced Education Endowment Fund of the 1980's. Students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
