About this opportunity
The Walter A. "Dub" Blessing Aviation Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship offered through the Tarrant County College Foundation to support students pursuing a Professional Helicopter Pilot Associate of Applied Science Degree. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence and aviation achievement for students enrolled at Tarrant County College.
Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance with a minimum 3.0 GPA and have already completed at least 24 credit hours of aviation coursework at TCC. Additionally, students must hold a Private Pilot Certificate with an instrument rating before the scholarship is awarded, demonstrating both academic commitment and practical aviation skills.
The scholarship provides financial support for students enrolled in at least 9 credit hours during the award period. Recipients may receive the award only one time, though it can be renewed for the spring semester if the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA and completes at least 9 credit hours in the fall semester. This scholarship is made possible through the generous support of Bell Helicopter, A Textron Company, and Hillwood Properties.
