About This Opportunity

This equity scholarship supports students from a low socio-economic background who are living with a physical disability. The scholarship is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students at the University of Sydney. Walter and Eliza Hall were active philanthropists during their life together. Following her husband's death in 1912, Eliza set up a million pound charitable trust called the Walter and Eliza Hall Trust, as a means of assisting those in need. Since that time the trust has helped thousands of Australians to reach their full potential. The scholarship provides financial support to help students with formally diagnosed physical disabilities overcome barriers to higher education and achieve their academic goals.
